The plans for a 42-storey tower in Birmingham will be unveiled to the public next week, as part of the developer’s consultation process.

212 Broad Street is on the site of the former Tramps nightclub and opposite where Wates Construction is on site with its Left Bank residential scheme.

The £183m project by Moda Living and designed by Glenn Howells Architects has around 500 apartments above 60,000 sq ft of retail, office and leisure space.

James Blakey, planning director at Moda Living, said: “Because we are a long-term investor and landlord – rather than a private for sale developer, we’re focused on far more than just building homes.

“212 Broad Street presents an exciting opportunity to significantly enhance the local environment, offering fantastic new work and leisure space, alongside homes to nurture a genuine long term community that can help support the city’s growing workforce.”

An exhibition will be at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn next Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
