Brand Beckham sprinkles its magic on Birmingham’s new whisky bar

The latest addition to Birmingham’s exclusive bar scene has been officially unveiled – with more than a little celebrity sprinkling.

Based in a lounge next to Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill, on the top floor of The Cube, the Haig Club Bar is home to the city’s new whisky bar.

The lounge, which seats 36 guests, has been decked out in the signature blue and copper of the distinctive Haig whisky bottle.

The brand is a partnership between David Beckham and Simon Fuller, and a photograph of the ex-footballer dominates the wall of the lounge nearest to the bar.

Barman Jack Spencer has been specially recruited to add flair and flavour to the venue, using his specialist knowledge to create 22 different whisky cocktails, each showcasing Haig Club or Haig Club Clubman.

If they can tear themselves away from the dramatic views of the city’s skyline, drinkers will also be able to sample small plates and sharing dishes including scotch eggs, aromatic prawns, calamari, macaroni cheese, and halloumi & courgette flowers.

Special customers can also purchase their own Haig Club bottle, priced at £200, which will then have a special tag so they can drink from it each time they visit the bar.

The bar has been designed to create an exclusive experience for our guests, with a dedicated and knowledgeable team to welcome them. We know that it will soon become a must-visit destination for whisky lovers and cocktail connoisseurs, in addition to offering a unique venue for business meetings and private celebrations.”

The bar will be open from Tuesday – Saturday, 6.00pm until 1am and will also be available for private hire.
