Sports presenter set to share some of his secrets

Sports presenter Gary Newbon will be talking about his life and career when he is guest at the latest 7Loco networking event in Birmingham on Thursday.

During a career with ITV and latterly Sky, the presenter has sparred verbally with Muhammad Ali and Brian Clough, dodged the hairdryer treatment from Sir Alex Ferguson, broadcast to millions on live TV and spent more than 50 years in the public eye.

He is a veteran of seven World Cups, three Olympic Games and countless live TV encounters with the giants of the sporting world.

The presenter will also outline how he has honed his skills during the course of his long career and the how these can benefit anyone looking to improve their public speaking.

His CV extends to something like 10,000 TV programmes and during that time he has collected a lot of knowledge, which e now shares with audiences during his speaking engagements.

The event takes place at the Hotel du Vin in Church Street, Birmingham at 9.30am on Thursday (July 7).
