Property Appointments: Colliers International; Cushman & Wakefield; Countryside

Phil Austin

Colliers International has strengthened its Birmingham office with the appointment of Phil Austin as a director within its Project & Building Consultancy team.

Mr Austin joins the firm with over 30 years’ of building surveying experience in London and the Midlands. His arrival bolsters the firm’s project monitoring and building consultancy expertise, following the acquisition of Bollingbrook at the beginning of 2017.

Liam Davies

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed a development specialist to its Consulting team in Birmingham.

Liam Davies joins as an Associate from the Property Services team at Birmingham City Council where he led a team responsible for the delivery of Major Projects in the city.

He brings years of experience in commercial and residential land disposal and has worked on a number of landmark city projects, including: the redevelopment of Paradise Circus, the £770m redevelopment of New Street station and subsequent sale of Grand Central shopping centre, the purchase of The Red Rose Centre in Sutton Coldfield, the restructure and redevelopment of Birmingham Science Park, strategic green belt land promotion activities and a number of key council disposals including city centre residential development and out of town retail centres.

In his new role, he will be assisting the team in providing development advice to the public and private sector, including the procurement of a Development Partner for the delivery of the Birmingham Smithfield project. Additionally, he will be providing support to key client mandates in Walsall and Derby.

Kevin Brogan

Home builder Countryside is laying the foundations for its Midlands expansion with the appointment of a regional sales manager, Kevin Brogan.

With more than 20 years of experience within the property sector, Mr Brogan is tasked with expanding the Countryside Midlands portfolio.

Based at the firm’s Wolverhampton office, Mr Brogan joins from Bellway Homes where he held the position of Senior Sales Consultant and then Sales Manager over the past five years.

Peter Vella said: “Kevin will be a real asset to our team with his strong local knowledge and proven track record. It’s an exciting time for him to join us as we launch our first two developments.”

These developments, in Smethwick and Cradley Heath, will see 194 homes made available on the open market.
