Contractor wins place on Government’s £1bn framework

Shaylor Group, a contractor with headquarters in Aldridge, is celebrating its appointment on a major Government fit-out framework to deliver an estate reorganisation programme.
The Government Hubs programme is overseeing the structural reorganisation to reduce the Government office estate. One government department to use the fit-out framework will be HM Revenue and Customs, which is consolidating its estate to create 13 modern regional centres.
The four-year framework has been split into three lots, of which Shaylor Group successfully bid for a place on two, covering projects with construction values below £25m.
The company has secured a spot on both the Northern and Southern lots, joining a number of top tier contractors including Mace, Overbury, Wates, Interserve, ISG, BAM, BW and Styles & Wood.
The appointment builds on Shaylor Group’s reputation in the fit-out sector and rapidly growing list of framework successes. In particular, its public sector expertise covers framework agreements with Mapeley Estates, the Ministry of Justice and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
CEO Stephen Shaylor said: “This is a fantastic win for the company, building upon our existing strong reputation and performance in the fit-out sector. We have established a dedicated delivery team within the business and look forward to starting what promises to be an exciting four year relationship with HMRC.”
