US firm CoStar unveils new Birmingham office

CoStar Group, the American commercial real estate information and marketing provider, has unveiled its new offices on the 12th floor of Bank House in Birmingham.

The company was founded in 1987 in Washington, DC, and has grown internationally recently seeing a NASDAQ market capital of $9bn.

CoStar Group UK has offices in London, Manchester and Glasgow, and its new Birmingham office marks a “strengthened presence to respond to the opportunity in the Midlands market”, it said.

Workplace design and fit out company Blueprint Interiors worked with CoStar to deliver the office scheme.

Matthew Green, finance and operations director of CoStar Group UK, said:
“We are thrilled with our new Birmingham office. Blueprint engaged with me and my project team at a very early stage and I was thoroughly impressed by the effort and attention to detail they employed throughout the process.

“We were well aware of possible costs and timescales at the earliest opportunity which enabled us to make commercially viable decisions without compromising the look and feel of the space.”

Blueprint’s head of business development, Hannah Floyd, said:
“We were delighted to help CoStar with establishing a permanent presence in the heart of Birmingham. With Blueprint building our new HQ in Ashby, we have placed a much greater focus on operating within the Midlands as a whole. This project has marked a great start to working in Birmingham and we look forward to taking on more projects across the Greater Birmingham area.”
