Recruitment company grows 30% on IT demand

DEMAND for IT skills has enabled a Staffordshire based recruitment firm to grow its business by more than 30% in the past 12 months.

GSA Techsource, which has appointed three new directors and a sales executive, said companies with global operations were actively recruiting technology specialists and experienced managers in order to grow.

GSA Techsource, with offices in Lichfield and central London, has been providing specialist IT recruitment services for more than 20 years.

Managing director Marcus Dawson said despite the economic downturn demand had been consistent across both the contract and permanent sectors.

“Our business has grown in spite of the downturn and we have continued to invest in all areas to enable our clients to get access to the best candidates who can harness the technology modern businesses need to remain competitive,” he said.

He said the firm’s clients ranged from small companies trading commercially on the internet to larger firms needing greater resources.

“We also apply this progressive approach to our own business and the investment in people has seen us add three new directors to our operational board who are specialists in their own fields and just appointed a senior sales executive at a time when many IT recruitment companies are cutting back,” added Mr Dawson.

The firm is hoping the award of the ISO 9001 standard will enable to grow further.
