New lets are finger lickin’ good for property group

Nunnery Park

St. Modwen has agreed new lettings deals at its 155,000 sq ft Nunnery Park scheme in Worcester.

The Longbridge-based group has sold development plots at the site to fast-food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken and family pub operator Greene King.

Both companies will develop their own outlets, with KFC providing a new drive-through restaurant and Greene King planning a family pub and restaurant.

St. Modwen is also progressing with the next phase of development work at Nunnery Park. This will see new trade units ranging in size from 4,950 sq ft to 19,000 sq ft. These are scheduled for completion in October.

Jonathan Green, Director of Asset Management (Midlands), St. Modwen, said: “These deals with KFC and Greene King at Nunnery Park are testament to the prominence and accessibility, that Nunnery Park offers.

“The additional 55,000 sq ft we are currently marketing is in response to the ongoing demand for trade counter, business and industrial space in the Worcester area.”

John Peach, Senior Acquisitions and Relationship Manager at KFC, said: “We are pleased to have completed the deal with St. Modwen and have now begun construction on site.

“We look forward to further raising our presence in Worcester and in this strategic eastern area of the city.”

Once complete, the Nunnery Park site, which lies between junctions 6 and 7 of the M5, could create around 400 jobs.
