English Curry Awards names ‘Best in Birmingham’
Pushkar, the fine dining Indian restaurant on Broad Street, has been named the Best in Birmingham at the English Curry Awards.
The awards, which were held in Manchester, recognise the best restaurants and food businesses in the country, through a public vote.
About 25m curries are eaten each week in the UK.
Pushkar’s creative director, Rai Singh, said he was “over the moon” to have won the award.He added: “Birmingham’s culinary scene is one of the richest in the world when it comes to curry establishments, and so to be awarded ‘The Best of Birmingham’, out of so many great curry greats, is such an honour.
“We are always proud to represent Birmingham and the Midlands.”
