Pegasus wings into Birmingham as part of national expansion

Tony Bateman, managing director of Pegasus Group

National development consultancy, Pegasus Group is extending its national footprint with the opening of a new office in Birmingham.

The group has announced it will open a new office in the heart of the city’s business district next month. The move follows a 7% growth in turnover, much of it as a result of work secured in the West Midlands.

It said the new office, at 39 Bennetts Hill, Colmore Place, would enable it to be best placed to capitalise on opportunities presented by the likes of the Midlands Engine and the impending arrival of HS2.

The office will be the group’s eleventh in the UK, and will serve as an extension to the existing office in Canwell, Sutton Coldfield, which currently covers Birmingham.

Tony Bateman, managing director of Pegasus Group, said: “The decision to open an office in central Birmingham will ensure that we can better serve the needs of our clients in Birmingham, and support the growing demand for our specialist planning, design, environmental and economics services across the region.

“The new office supports our expansion strategy as we continue to grow our business throughout the Midlands.”

The group will stage a launch event next month.

Pegasus Group was established in 2003 and has grown to become a business operating nationally. The group employs around 240 people, with 190 professionals assisted by a range of technical and administrative support staff.

The Birmingham office will join a national network of offices in Bracknell, Bristol, Cambridge, Cirencester, East Midlands, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester.
