Strong panel assembled for Changing Face of Real Estate event

Rob Valentine, Director of Birmingham

Changes in materials, processes, and the technology embedded into new-builds are being driven by competitive pressures and occupier demand.

TheBusinessDesk.com and international law firm Gowling WLG are holding a breakfast seminar on February 15 to examine how technology is changing the face of real estate.

The panel discussion will examine how investment in technology is impacting on the property market, who and what is driving the change, and what is holding back innovation.

Our panellists will also look ahead to the region’s presence at MIPIM 2018, which takes place in March.

Waheed Nazir, economy director, Birmingham City Council is unable to attend the event owing to a prior commitment.

His replacement on the panel is Rob Valentine, regional director for Bruntwood.

Based within the Colmore Business District, Rob heads the Birmingham team for Bruntwood, which provides office space in the UK’s main regional cities.

Bruntwood aligns its business with technology to ensure its buildings allow tenants to work in the way that meets their needs.

The panel is:
Guy Gusterson, property director, St Modwen
Richard Belgrave, head of Europe, Leverton
Rob Valentine, regional director, Bruntwood
Mike Twining, partner, Gowling WLG

The discussion will be chaired by Alex Turner, editor, TheBusinessDesk.com West Midlands.

The seminar, which is free to attend is aimed at developers, funders, investors and other property professionals from across the region.
