Birmingham-based building contractor Colmore Tang Construction (CTC) is targeting turnover of £80m for the current financial year, aided by a pipeline of 3,500 new homes.

Andy Robinson, CEO of the Colmore Tang Group, said: “To think how far we have come since launching as a small team of three just four years ago really is a huge achievement.

“2017 was a fantastic year for us – not only did we go above the one million sq ft milestone, we also now have a core team of 75 based at our new headquarters at Fiveways in Birmingham.

“We are really excited to see what the future holds as we look to expand our portfolio throughout 2018 and beyond.”

In total, the first four years has seen the company complete 1.45 million sq ft of residential, industrial and hospitality projects.

This has included 1,500 residential units and 100,000 sq ft of industrial space.

One of the highlights during the four years has been the completion of the 253-bedroom, four-star Park Regis hotel in Birmingham – the first Park Regis in Europe.

Late last year, the company, which forms the construction arm of SevenCapital, strengthened its supply chain with the acquisition of a controlling interest in Aldridge-based Stainless Handrail Systems (SHS).

SHS has been in business for more than 25 years and designs, manufactures, supplies and installs handrails, balustrading and glass products.

Colmore Tang’s existing relationship with the manufacturer has seen it install SHS products on two of its most-recently completed projects in Birmingham – Fabrick Square in Digbeth and Ridley House, which is situated adjacent to The Mailbox.
