Jobs lost as administrators appointed at affordable housing developer

Saxonby

41 jobs have been lost after a residential housing developer appointed administrators.

Cash flow pressures have forced Shrewsbury-based Saxonby (Affordable Housing) into administration, although all of the other companies in the Saxonby group continue to trade as normal.

Rajnesh Mittal and Steven Stokes, partners at specialist business advisory firm FRP Advisory LLP, were appointed as joint administrators on Friday.

Work at all of the company’s live construction sites has been paused while administrators explore the options for the Company.

Mittall said: “The financial position of the Company has meant that we have had to make 41 members of staff redundant today.

“We are currently evaluating the options to sell all or parts of the company and offering support and guidance to those who have sadly been made redundant.”

Saxonby (Affordable Housing) has been trading since 2008 and has completed projects across the West Midlands, including Malvern, Stourbridge, and Northfield.
