Solihull workspace provider invests £1.3m in London refurbishment

Solihull-based services offices group, UBC is to upgrade facilities at one of its sites in London as part of a £1.3m refurbishment programme.

UBC, based at Birmingham Business Park, operates fully-serviced workspace over two floors at The Mille, a prominent office building at 1000 Great West Road in Brentford, West London.

The refurbishment follows a deal on a new long-term lease agreement.

Having secured the new 10-year lease with building landlord McKay Securities, UBC will carry out a full refurbishment of its flexible workspace, which will include the introduction of bespoke co-working space.

As part of the refurbishment, UBC will take a new floor – Floor 1 – which is due for completion in April 2018.
This level, plus UBC’s existing second floor, will undergo a complete refit over the next six months.

UBC has operated the workspace since 2012 and has developed it into a contemporary business environment with specially designed private offices, collaborative workspace and market-leading IT connectivity.

The company said the investment was expected to reap rewards as research studies had shown that demand for flexible workspace was continuing to grow both in the capital and in regional areas as the cost of city centre office space continued to escalate.
