Residential plans for Walsall’s tallest tower

Tameway Tower in Walsallis being converted into residential

Work to convert the tallest building in Walsall into a residential tower has begun.

Tameway wants to convert the 14-storey building, Tameway Tower on Bridge Street, into 143 flats.

It is working with Prosperity Wealth to deliver the project, after successfully partnering on residential conversions of office blocks in Derby and Dudley.

Arran Bailey, owner of Tameway (Midlands), said: “The building has been in need of a revamp for some time and we are confident that we have a scheme which will be of benefit to Walsall. It will breathe new life into that area and create footfall.

“Work on the building began two weeks ago by the development team at ALB and HBW, and it has come off to a flying start. Work is progressing swiftly, and we are really pleased.”
