Halfords hires Waitrose exec as CFO

Halfords has hired the finance director of Waitrose as its chief financial officer.

Loraine Woodhouse will take up the post with the motor accessories and leisure goods retailer in November.

Woodhouse has been finance director of Waitrose since 2015, having previously occupied senior finance roles in the John Lewis Partnership including as acting group finance director. Prior to that, she was CFO of Hobbs, finance director of Capital Shopping Centres (now Intu) and finance director of Costa Coffee.

She succeeds Jonny Mason who leaves Halfords at the end of July.

Graham Stapleton, chief executive, said: “I am delighted that Loraine will be joining Halfords as CFO and look forward to working with her. She has extensive finance leadership within service-based retail and will be a great addition to the senior team.
