Regeneration specialist relocates as expansion continues

Regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships West Midlands has moved to new Grade A offices at Bromwich Court in Coleshill which will be home to more than 40 staff.

The relocation follows the news last year that the Galliford Try Partnerships Central business split its operation into East and West Midlands business units as part of its five-year growth strategy across central England.

The company has grown rapidly in size, from a new entrant to the affordable and mixed tenure housing market to a leading player across the region in under five years.

Partnerships West Midlands is responsible for a development programme and pipeline of around 1,000 new and affordable homes across the greater West Midlands, Shropshire, Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester and Oxfordshire.

To accommodate future growth, Partnerships has agreed a five-year lease on the new office and bolstered its workforce by 10% in the past six months.

The West Midlands business unit is headed by regional managing director James Warrington, with the day-to-day operations managed by regional director Darren Beale.

Beale said: “We have experienced significant growth over the past few years and through the combined businesses we have forged strong and enduring relationships with key partners. This new location will ensure that we continue to respond to our clients’ changing needs whilst also providing a great workplace for our staff. We look forward to building on our reputation as a leading regeneration specialist renowned for its partnership working and delivery.”

Galliford Try Partnerships’ key projects in the region include Solihull Retirement Village for the Extra Care Charitable Trust, where the team is working to deliver a mixed development with 261 new and affordable homes, community facilities and employment space.

The team is also delivering  277 new and affordable homes for rent and for sale on sites at Tapworks and Tower and Fort Works in Wolverhampton in partnership with Wolverhampton Living, the City of Wolverhampton’s regeneration development company; a mixed-tenure housing scheme comprising 29 new houses, 58 general needs apartments, a 102-unit retirement village at The Arden Quarter in Stratford upon Avon  with Orbit Housing Group, as well as a mixed tenure development of 210  new houses and apartments in Hall Green Birmingham with WM Housing.

Warrington added: “We are looking to rapidly grow the business in response to the continued demand for new homes.  Whilst we are a national business, we have local expertise across the country that helps us to respond to our clients’ and partners’ requirements and ultimately make a positive impact on those people living in the areas where we operate.”
