Property company prosecuted over Storm Doris death

Tahnie Martin

Wolverhampton Council has launched a prosecution against the former building management company of the Mander Centre after a woman was killed by falling debris.

Tahnie Martin, who worked at the University of Wolverhampton, was killed by debris as she walked past the Blackrock Building during Storm Doris two years ago.

Cushman and Wakefield Debenham Tie Leung, a subsidiary of property group Cushman and Wakefield, will appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court in April.

The company is being prosecuted under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
