Traffic alert: Overturned lorry closes M42

12pm update
The M42 remains closed and Highways England is now advising that normal road conditions are not expected to return until about 3.30pm.
10am
An overturned lorry has closed the M42 southbound and is expected to disrupt drivers for the rest of the morning.
Emergency services are on the scene, dealing with a collision which resulted in an overturned HGV.
The incident is between junction 11 and junction 10, where the motorway crosses the A5 south of Tamworth. Congestion has begun to quickly build on the A42, back towards East Midlands Airport.
Highways England has initialy estimated that it will take the rest of the morning to clear the incident and have the road operating normally.
It has set up a diversion via the A444 and A5.
