Green light for pub giant’s £7m national museum plans

Pub giant JD Wetherspoon has secured planning to create a national museum in the West Midlands.
The company has been given the green light to start work on the £7m project which will generate up to 50 jobs.
The museum will be based at The Moon Under Water pub in Wolverhampton and include plans for a 70-bedroom hotel.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We are delighted that we have been granted permission to redevelop The Moon under Water pub in Wolverhampton.
“This will include the creation of a national Wetherspoon museum.
“This is great news and we believe that the museum will be of great interest to a lot of people and be a great boost for the city.”
