Gaming giant signs 10-year extension in Coventry

Wasps Group's Stuart Cain with Paul Davies from Grosvenor Casinos

The owner of Grosvenor Casinos has signed a 10-year extension that commits the leisure group to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.

The casino is the largest in Coventry and has been based at the stadium since 2009.

Paul Davies, general manager of Grosvenor Casino Coventry, said: “We think this venue is the ideal home for our brand.”

It welcomed 250,000 people last year, from visitors who were also attending another event at the venue through to those attracted by its calendar of national events.

“This is very good news,” said Stuart Cain, venue chief executive of stadium owner Wasps Group.

“It shows just how well the casino continues to trade and is a major vote of confidence in the future strategy of Ricoh Arena and the way that we’re conducting our business.”
