Property firm relocates HQ

Property specialist Centrick, has relocated its headquarters to The Exchange in Birmingham.

Taking its 72-strong head office team over to the Grade-II listed building, its said the move comes as the result of key appointments, property portfolio growth, and a record 12 months for the business.

Now occupying over 8,000 sq. ft. in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District, the move sees an investment of more than £200,000.

James Ackrill, Centrick’s chairman, said: “2019 has already seen Centrick go from strength-to-strength, acquiring new properties, staff members, and projects, with our office move being another momentous occasion for us to celebrate. Occupying the top floor of The Exchange, our new headquarters will place Centrick right in the hub of the city’s bustling business district. This is the first in a series of fantastic announcements expected for us at Centrick in the coming months, and we look forward to commemorating each of these in our new office.”

Since opening in 2005, the agency now has over 15,000 properties across the UK on its books and manages over £1.5bn in client assets.

Ackrill added: “In the last five years alone, our team has doubled in size, taking us from 60 to 125. In turn, this growth has seen our knowledge, skillsets, and experience expand rapidly, which has allowed us to branch out to offer new services, as well as strengthen areas we were already excelling in – such as Estate Management and PRS Asset Management.”

One of Centrick’s longest-standing services, which has seen a huge rise in recent years, is PRS. Having established expertise in areas like Build to Rent, the property specialists have started new collaborations with major providers in the industry, working on The Lansdowne on Hagley Road, New Street Chambers on New Street, and Broadway Residences at Five Ways.

“For us, staying current and seizing opportunities in the market is crucial. This approach has ensured that we’ve remained at the precipice of the ever-changing property market, developing our services to reflect the needs of the people buying, renting, and selling today. As a result, we’re proud to say that this is what has propelled us to success in the region – and beyond – and we look forward to continuing to pioneer the way for residential property in the years to come,” said Centrick’s commercial director Shane Bland.
