Housebuilding giant expands regional headquarters in relocation to Wolverhampton

One of Britain’s largest housebuilders is relocating its West Midlands regional headquarters to offices in Wolverhampton.

Taylor Wimpey has agreed to let the first and second floors at Two Trinity Court, based in Wolverhampton Business Park.

The company currently has more than 100 staff based in Cannock but needed extra space with better car parking facilities for its team, which is expanding due to various trainee schemes and apprenticeships.

The move is scheduled to take place this November and, once completed, Two Trinity Court will be 100% let.

Bulleys and joint agents Avison Young worked with Taylor Wimpey and their agent Knight Frank on arranging the property deal with landlord Broadlands Wolverhampton, a joint venture between B&R Properties and Peveril Securities.

Robert Perrins, technical director at Taylor Wimpey, said: “We’re delighted with the new offices at Two Trinity Court which is exactly the type of modern space we wanted for our expanding workforce.

“The high-quality offices, flexible car parking arrangements and the excellent location are what attracted us, along with the landlord’s willingness to meet our requirements.”

Ralph Jones, managing director of Peveril Securities, speaking on behalf of Broadlands Wolverhampton, said: “We are pleased to welcome Taylor Wimpey into our offices at Two Trinity Court and are delighted at how successful this location has proven to be.

“We now look forward to further development of the surrounding site which has become a major draw for companies who want a central location with such easy access to local transport networks.”

The total letting is for 12,050 sq ft let at £17 per sq ft, or £204,850 a year, on a new ten-year lease with a rent review after five years.

Legal advisors on the deal for Broadlands Wolverhampton was Flint Bishop of Derby, while Taylor Wimpey used Eversheds Sutherland in Birmingham.
