Worcester housing scheme gets green light

Malvern Hills District Council has given the green light for 33 homes to be built off Main Road in Hallow.

Located two miles from the centre of Worcester, the new development will include a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom houses in a variety of styles.

Planning has also been granted for a new access road, footpaths and cycle routes, public open space and a play area. Affordable housing will also be delivered.

The new homes will be delivered by regional housebuilder Piper Homes.

Rupert Parkin, land director at Piper Homes, said: “This is set to be a beautiful development, situated just 500 metres from Hallow Conservation Area. Our designs for the new homes reflect our desire to be sympathetic to the history of the area, complementing rather than detracting from the neighbouring buildings and overall characteristic of Hallow.

“We are thrilled to have been given the go ahead to build these new homes, helping to meet the demand for high quality new homes in the local area. We hope to start on site early next year.”
