Logistics business expands into 92,672 sq ft warehouse

Ascott Transport Limited (ATL) has become the latest tenant at the Centrum 100 business and distribution estate in Burton-on-Trent.

Acting on behalf of Leicestershire-based landlord Custodian REIT, Commercial Property Partners (CPP) and McGuiness Waddington Real Estate have brokered a deal which will see the Derbyshire logistics firm take 92,672 sq ft of warehouse space at Centrum.

CPP agreed terms with ATL when the unit’s previous occupier was in administration.

Current occupiers elsewhere on the site include Boots, DHL, Clipper Logistics, Palletforce and Argos.

Sean Bremner, partner at CPP, said: “We are very pleased to have secured a new tenant at the site so quickly. Working proactively, we arranged numerous viewings on the property demonstrating the confidence in the region and a genuine demand for modern warehouse space in this location. ATL are a well-recognised logistics operator and we expect them to be an excellent tenant to our client.”

ATL was established in 1959 and now employs over 200 people.
