Production to restart at Europe’s largest specialist bath manufacturer

Gainsborough Healthcare Group, the UK bath manufacturer for the care sector, is set to restart bath production from today (11 May).

At Europe’s largest specialist bath manufacturing plant in the West Midlands, the firm will restart making Gainsborough Specialist Bathrooms, Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions and Access walk-in baths.

Initially production levels will be limited, says the firm, but capacity will increase in relation to the predicted rise in demand as its unique antimicrobial bathing solutions, with integrated BioCote, are deemed critical for infection control.

A statement from the firm said: “As a leading ethical specialist, Gainsborough is 100% committed to protecting its staff, vulnerable bathers and healthcare professionals so will only deliver and install when safe and appropriate to do so. [Our] Covid-19 Protection Promise protocols are already in place and providing peace of mind for all involved with acute, long term and social care.”
