Green light for 140-apartment scheme

How the flats will look

Plans by MKF Investments for 140 apartments in Birmingham have been given the go-ahead.

The flats will be built on land at the junction of Warwick Road and Knights Road in Tyseley following the demolition and clearance of buildings on the site.

Birmingham City Council’s planning committee gave the green light to the scheme yesterday.

A planning statement accompanying the application said: “The application proposes that the opportunity be taken to transform this non-standard commercial site, regarded as being a non-conforming use in a largely residential context, by redeveloping it for housing.

“The client, MKF Investments Limited, is a local company looking to invest in the community and to provide a high quality development.”
