Creative marketing agency acquired in management buyout

Harrison Carloss, the Staffordshire-based strategic marketing and creative agency that first opened its doors in the 1970s, has been acquired by Adam Mobley in a management buyout from My Clever Group.

The move follows a period of growth and a number of acquisitions for My Clever Group, where the focus has now evolved to the development of HR-tech software.

The deal sees Harrison Carloss free to pursue its own course as a successful strategic marketing and creative agency.

Under My Clever Group, Harrison Carloss has seen a considerable transformation over the last 18 months. Building on its existing foundations in strategic marketing, the agency has undergone a rebrand, bolstered its in-house capabilities and grown its team.

The agency now also offers digital, web design and web development.

Gareth Mobley will continue to be a part of Harrison Carloss as a shareholder and non-executive director, with Adam continuing in his role as managing director, taking on full commercial responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business.

Adam said: “It’s been fantastic seeing Harrison Carloss go from strength to strength over the last 18 months, knowing that I’ve played a central role in that journey along with the team. With a background in design and technology, it’s something that I am personally passionate about. I’m now looking forward to continuing to push the business forward and deliver the very best for clients, both existing and new.”

Gareth added: “I’m a huge believer in the power of marketing. It was undoubtedly a significant factor in helping us to build my previous business, Solidor into the high growth, well-known business that it was then and still is to this day.

The team at Harrison Carloss, led by Adam, have already achieved such a lot in a short amount of time, and I will continue to support the business with its plans for growth.”
