M5 closed in both directions

The M5 in the West Midlands is closed in both directions between J2 (Oldbury) and J3 (Halesowen, Quinton) due to a Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) led incident.

Highways England Traffic Officers are assisting with traffic management and the Air Ambulance is expected to land shortly.

Southbound motorists are being diverted and should follow the hollow diamond symbol. Exit at J2 and travel south on the A4123 Wolverhampton Road towards Quinton, Birmingham. Turn right onto the A456 Hagley Road and follow to re-join the M5 at J3.

Northbound motorists follow the hollow square symbol which is the above route in reverse.
