New MD for strategic land company
Strategic land company L&Q Estates has announced its new managing director.
Ian Hardwick has been appointed to the top post at the Warwick-based company, which is part of the L&Q housing group.
He joined Gallagher Estates in 2000, and was group sales director when the firm was acquired by L&Q – one of the UK’s leading charitable housing associations and residential developers – in 2017.
He succeeds Gregg Wilkinson.
L&Q Estates specialises in the identification, purchase and promotion of sites for residential and commerce development and, with in excess of 55,000 plots in the pipeline across the UK, is playing a major part in alleviating the national housing shortage.
Hardwick said: “L&Q Estates – and before that Gallagher Estates – is a major player in creating sustainable new settlements across England and some of the projects I first worked on when I joined the organisation are now thriving communities which is really rewarding.
“I feel very lucky to be leading a talented team of professionals who are playing such a major role in the life of families and residents right across the country by helping to provide quality housing and establishing communities which include schools, places of employment and community facilities.
“Being a part of the L&Q group has only strengthened our activities and has been a very positive move in all aspects of our business.”
