Gym wear brand fit for further growth with warehouse expansion

Weeks after announcing a ten-fold growth in just 24 months, gym wear brand AYBL is to expand its operations, adding 15,000 sq ft to its warehouse space.

The 23,000 sq ft space is located on a former tyre recycling facility in Redditch, and will accommodate the company’s fast-growing workforce, including recently appointed operations manager Paul Maynard.

Packing and distribution operations will now be based at the new location, which is situated next door to AYBL’s current Broad Ground Road HQ, from where approximately 40,000 products will be shipped each month, reaching 200,000 during peak periods.

The gym wear brand was launched by Reiss Edgerton and brother Kristian in 2018, and in March, reported a record turnover of £10.3m after just three years of trading.

Reiss Edgerton said: “We’re over the moon to open our new office, where all business functions will operate under one roof. With a fast-growing team and orders increasing daily, expanding our previous 8,000 square ft office was essential to facilitate the ongoing growth of the business.

“AYBL has come a long way since my brother, Kristian and I launched it from our living room three years ago. We had a simple vision: to provide a product that offered affordable quality, while ensuring we looked after our customers at every step. Three years on, we’re helping more people than ever to be the best versions of themselves – providing clothing that not only looks and feels good, but never compromises on performance.

Kristian Edgerton said: “It was important that our new office not only allowed us to meet current demand, but also offered space to grow. The expansion marks the start of the next chapter for the business, with many exciting plans in the pipeline.

“I’m looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to move into our new AYBL home.”
