Coventry housing scheme completes

Coventry-based Bellway South Midlands has completed construction work on a housing development at the north-western edge of the city.
The housebuilder, which has its divisional office at Coventry Business Park, has built 69 homes at The Hedgerows development in Coundon.
Work began on the site, off Scots Lane, in 2018 and all 51 private homes for sale have now been sold.
The other 18 properties have been provided as affordable housing for rent or shared ownership.
Elaine Brown, head of sales for Bellway South Midlands, said: “As a Coventry-based housebuilder, we have a strong connection to the city and are committed to delivering high-quality new homes which meet the needs of people in the local area.
“At The Hedgerows we have created a brand-new neighbourhood which is conveniently situated just two miles from the city centre, with a new community of residents now settling into their homes.
“The mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties have attracted a wide variety of buyers, and the development has proved particularly popular with families due to the large number of highly rated schools nearby.
“As well as providing much-needed new homes for Coventry, we have also delivered an investment of more than £468,000 in local services through our planning agreement for the development, which will benefit new residents and the wider community.”
