Developer submits plans for extension to BTR scheme

Birmingham-based property developer Cordia Blackswan has submitted a planning application for an extension to its BTR development The Lamp Works.

Located on the site of a former textile and furniture factory and close to popular Jewellery Quarter pub the Lord Clifton, The Lamp Works is a residential led mixed-use scheme, providing a mix of 125 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

The recently submitted application is for an additional 23 apartments and two commercial units.

Alongside the apartments, The Lamp Works will also provide a selection of ground floor commercial units fronting Great Hampton Street and Harford Street.

If approved, construction of the extension will begin in 2022 with apartments ready for occupation in 2023.
