A development opportunity at a former police station near to Shropshire’s famous Iron Bridge will appear in Bond Wolfe’s next auction.

The small freehold property on Dale End in Coalbrookdale near Telford has an internal floor area of about 301 sq ft but is based on a site that extends to approximately 0.3 of an acre.

This has a guide price of £195,000 plus and is considered suitable for various developments, including commercial or residential use, subject to any necessary planning permission.

Colin Totney, a land and development surveyor at Bond Wolfe, said: “This property is in the historic Ironbridge Gorge, close to Dale End Park and a few minutes’ walk away from the Iron Bridge itself.

“What was a former police station fronts onto Dale End at its junction with The Wharfage and lies about six miles to the south-west of Telford town centre.

“There are all sorts of potential developments that could thrive in this attractive location, whether it be for residential, retail or other commercial uses, and dependent on any planning permission that may be obtained it could become a valuable investment.”

The Shropshire property is among a total of 188 lots that will appear in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which starts at 9am on Wednesday 20 October.
