Risk consultancy demonstrates international reach with major project wins

Birmingham risk management consultancy Equib has boosted its reputation as an advisor on large scale international projects with two client wins  with the Auckland Link Alliance and Toronto-based Metrolinx.

Equib specialises in providing risk advisory and management services to heavy civil construction and infrastructure projects and programmes.

Its involvement in the Auckland Link Alliance – the largest transport infrastructure project ever to be undertaken in New Zealand – has involved managing director, Bob Hide, providing support on all aspects of risk management.

Forming part of a multidisciplinary review of the project, this involvement has required collaboration with the Alliance’s parent companies and global construction firms VINCI and Downer.

The Metrolinx project has the aim of improving the coordination and integration of all modes of transport within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas.

Equib is supporting the project team in its transition from its capital expenditure programme to its rapid transit programme.

Bob Hide, managing director at Equib, said: “In our role as hands-on consultants, we are helping to raise risk understanding on some of the most ambitious mega projects ever undertaken in the UK and overseas.

“It’s a real privilege to support the delivery of the Auckland Link Alliance through the multi-disciplinary review initiative, working alongside VINCI and Downer. These international project wins are a true endorsement of Equib as an expert provider of strategic risk management services, and we look forward to further strengthening our international reach in the coming years.”
