Retailer takes 475,000 sq ft of logistics space

The Range, one of the fastest growing homeware brands in the UK, has signed up to distribution centre Stafford 475.

Providing 475,000 sq ft of logistics space, Stafford 475 offers cross-docked loading with three large goods yards, an internal height of 12 metres and is fitted with racking and new LED lighting throughout to deliver significant cost savings.

Stafford 475 occupies a highly visible position at Acton Gate in Stafford, directly serving the Midlands and the North West with the M6 directly adjacent and Junction 13 accessible within a minute’s drive.

John Sambrooks, partner at Gerald Eve, said: “The letting of Stafford 475 to The Range and the strong levels of interest we saw during this process highlight the continuing demand for immediately available buildings.

“With the major surrounding conurbations of Stoke on Trent, Birmingham and Manchester within relatively short distances, and 73% of the UK population within a single four-and-a-half-hour HGV journey, Stafford 475 is an excellent choice for The Range’s nationwide customer base, providing a local presence with national impact.”

Gerald Eve’s Prime Logistics research found that occupier take-up hit record levels of 23.7 million sq ft in Q3 this year, driven by demand from online retailers, logistics operators and low-carbon industries.

Availability during the period fell to a record low of 4.6%.
