12-acre Black Country residential site placed on the market

A 12-acre site in Wednesbury has been placed on the market, ready for residential development.

Land agents at Harris Lamb say they are anticipating strong interest from developers, due to the demand for new homes in the region.

The land, set within the grounds of the former Phoenix Collegiate on Friar Park Road, has already been granted planning approval for up to 84 new homes, and developers have until the 27th of January to submit offers for the site.

James Willcock, of Harris Lamb’s residential land team, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for a developer to transform the fields into much needed, quality new homes in a popular part of the Midlands.

“Located just two kilometres from the town centre, the site is close to both junction 1 of the M5 and junction 9 of the M6.

“The 11.95-acre site has already been given the green light for up to 84 new properties ranging from one to four bedrooms, six of which will be allocated as affordable housing as secured by an S106 agreement.”

A data room has been established with all the relevant documents regarding the development for interested parties.

It can be accessed by visiting www.formerphoenixcollegiate.co.uk, with the password available by contacting Kalvinder Kaur at kalvinder.kaur@harrislamb.com or Alice Harding at alice.harding@harrislamb.com.
