Door opens on Digbeth apartment scheme as plans get voted through

Plans to build 131 apartments in Digbeth have been voted through by Birmingham City Council’s planning committee.
Blue Door Property Developments will build three different blocks at 260 Bradford Street as part of a scheme which will also include two commercial units.
The news will mean the demolition of Blue Door’s City Centre Car Company building.
The new development will see the three buildings reach between six and eight storeys high, and house 131 one- two- and three-bedroom flats.
A new pedestrian route will run between the new blocks and connect Lombard Street and Green Street. It will be developed in partnership with the city council.
