New 30,000 sq ft fulfilment centre to give eco-friendly distribution advice

Tony Dempsey, divisional managing director at Fullers Fulfilment

Midlands’ businesses will have the chance to benefit from a new fulfilment centre opening in Leamington Spa.

Offering sustainable packing and distribution options, Fullers Fulfilment is set in a 30,000 sq ft warehouse in Spa Park. It expects to service 100 SME e-commerce businesses in the region with orders being picked, packed and dispatched as well as handling returns.

In addition, Fullers says it will offer companies advice on low-cost and eco-friendly options including recyclable packaging and couriers with electric fleets to meet business values as well as practical needs.

Tony Dempsey, divisional managing director at Fullers Fulfilment, said: “The UK’s e-commerce sector is booming with more people shopping online, and more companies needing our fulfilment services to pick, pack and send products to customers, especially with environmental impact and sustainability in mind.

“Our existing warehouses in the South are already very busy so we’re delighted to have secured the site in Leamington Spa, which will be a brilliant gateway for us to serve businesses and end-customers across the Midlands and beyond, as well as allowing us to tap into a new pool of talent for our growing workforce.”

The company currently employs 300 people at sites in Slough, Berkshire, and Bordon, Hampshire and aims to recruit 20 employees for the new Leamington Spa site including warehouse managers and supervisors, customer care and admin staff as well as warehouse order pickers.

Fullers works with a diverse range of industry sectors, including luxury goods, industrial supplies, wholesale and manufacturing. Clients range from corporate giants, such as BMW and Mars, to smaller boutique brands, such as sustainable fashion label Seventy + Mochi and Indian hair and beauty firm Fable and Mane.
