Lotus Living expands at Navigation point

Lotus Living has expanded its operations at Navigation Point in Tipton, doubling its space on the estate.

Lotus Living is working in partnership with Lotus Sanctuary CIC to develop a new retail operation that will support its aim to tackle the rising costs of living and support homeless and vulnerable people in the UK.

The organisation is working with partner businesses to take on end-of-line and ex-display items for resale and accepting donations from the general public.

So far, its partner businesses helped to save more than 3.7 tonnes from landfill and public donors have given over 1.5 tonnes. All of this has meant that the company needed to expand rapidly in a short space of time.

David Underwood, head of retail at Lotus Living, said: “Our need to expand has come far more quickly than we thought! The team have done remarkable things at Navigation Point and our Bilston Hub. We are delighted to be able to take on another unit at Navigation Point to help support us in our growth and fulfilment of our mission. The second warehouse will help to showcase some of our fantastic furniture products and provide much-needed storage and processing capacity. Our first city centre store will launch in Derby in August with many more stores to come. We are now online via eBay, Shpock, and Vinted.”

Lauren Mclean, lettings manager at Whittle Jones Midlands, said: “I am delighted we were able facilitate Lotus Living’s expansion plans with the provision of the additional space. This is such a great cause and I am excited to see the launch of the first store and future growth.”
