Accountancy firm announces merger

The Bromsgrove office of West Midlands and Worcestershire-based accountants and business advisers Jerroms has merged with GCN Accounting Services (GCN), based in Dudley.

The newly merged business will trade as Jerroms GCN and will relocate to new offices in Halesowen.

The deal will see the Jerroms Bromsgrove office almost double in size, bringing the total number of staff to 40.

New offices have been secured on Mucklow Office Park on Mucklow Hill to accommodate the newly expanded team and it is anticipated the business will relocate in mid-August.

Hawkins Hatton and George Green advised on the merger, which forms part of Jerroms’ continued expansion strategy and comes just months after the addition of specialist corporate tax advisers Jerroms Miller to the wider Jerroms Group.

The new strategic location provides the opportunity for the business to widen the depth and breadth of its reach in the key areas of accountancy, business advice, personal and corporate tax planning, corporate finance, financial planning, residential mortgages, and access to commercial finance.

Jerroms director Richard Horton said: “GCN is a like-minded business and a great cultural fit for us. Bringing the two practices together not only enables us to broaden our services to businesses in the region, but also to better meet the needs of our existing clients. Our staff and clients are central to what we do, so we are delighted to welcome our new colleagues from GCN and see this move as an essential part in the future investment of the business and our team.”

Gary New, founding director of GCN, said: “This is an exciting and significant merger for both firms and we are looking forward to joining the Jerroms team. Our shared core values will allow us to strengthen our expertise, develop our specialist services, create greater opportunities and, ultimately, provide exceptional business support and advice to our clients.”
