Security firm signs up to 25,000 sq ft manufacturing unit

Electrical-Date-Security (EDS) has taken a ten year lease for £125,000 a year to secure a 25,000 sq ft manufacturing unit at 121-125 Wellington Street.

Established in 1992, the company provides a range of electronic security including automatic gates barriers, bollards and CCTV for commercial clients in the West Midlands and throughout the UK.

Peter Savoury, managing director of EDS, said: “The premises provide us with a platform to sustain the growth of the business and enable us to attract the right candidates from the local labour pool. After 15 months of searching, we are pleased to have secure our long-term future in these premises.”

Ryan Lynch, associate director at Siddall Jones, said: “We are delighted to have agreed a long lease on the site with a local manufacturing firm which will continue to provide employment in the local area. We would like to wish EDS all the best in their new premises.

“EDS’ swift decision to take this space reflects on the demand in the market at present for quality industrial units. The location of the property, just three miles from Junction 1 of the M5 and access to the national motorway network makes it an ideal hub for their UK growth.”

Law firm Hawkins Hatton in Dudley advised the landlord with Galloway Hughes of Esher, Surrey, acting for EDS.
