Redditch headquarters secured for construction firm

New headquarters have been secured for Ashlane Construction with help from commercial property agent John Truslove for £900,000.

The groundwork firm has purchased a 15,114 sq ft unit on the Enfield Industrial Estate in Redditch as it deals with an increasing workload from major housebuilders such as Redrow and Persimmon.

Employing around 170 staff, Ashlane is usually working on 10-12 sites across the Midlands laying down roads, sewers, drainage and foundations to prepare sites for building work to start.

Ashley Williams, managing director of Ashland Construction said: “When it became clear we had outgrown our old offices we got in touch with Ian Parker and the team to help us find a new headquarters that we could acquire.

“But it proved a challenge. The sort of premises we needed were hard to find and often were snapped up quickly. They were also very expensive. It took around 18 months but we found the premises at Unit 7 on Enfield Industrial Estate in Redditch. They needed some work, which was ideal for us, and with John Truslove’s help we sealed the deal in good time and were able to move in a few months later.

“It combines offices, storage space and a workshop with a yard and has been absolutely brilliant for the business”.

Ian Parker of John Truslove said: “We have a good relationship with Ashley and his company and knew what they needed for the next stage in their growth. The deceptively simple process of identifying which of our clients had the premises available for sale to meet their needs took some time, but we are delighted to have helped Ashlane Construction establish their new headquarters”.

Law firm Howell & Co acted for Ashlane Construction.
