Medium businesses to hotly contest Business of the Year Award

Brandauer, one of the UK’s leading metal pressings and stamping specialists, took home the Medium Business Award last year has officially launched this year’s West Midlands Business of the Year Awards, and we want to hear from medium size businesses across the region.

If you’re a business that has achieved sustained growth, disrupting your market and/or entering new markets, investing in the business, and showing strong employee engagement, then we want to hear from you.

The Medium Business category is for companies with 51 to 250 employees. Brandauer, one of the UK’s leading metal pressings and stamping specialists, won the category last year.

The West Midlands Business of the Year Awards 2024 are backed by headline sponsors Cazenove Capital, Freeths, LDC and Robert Walters.

The Medium Business of the Year category is also being sponsored by LDC.

Chris Handy, partner and head of West Midlands at LDC, said: “The West Midlands is home to such a diverse array of businesses, from more traditional sectors like manufacturing to its scaling technology community.

“Whatever their industry, this award will recognise the impact that one standout company has had on the region over the past 12 months, be that through creating employment opportunities, innovation, driving growth and productivity, or other achievements.

“Every journey is different, and we know there are many brilliant businesses out there. We can’t wait to hear from them and celebrate their success.”

The deadline for entries is Friday, July 7, 2023.

The annual awards ceremony is a key event in the business calendar and recognises companies that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their industry and continue to contribute to the West Midlands business community.

The awards will celebrate and honour the very best of businesses of all sizes and sectors across the region.

For the first time, the 2024 awards will also include a rigorous judging process that will see all the companies visited by members of our judging panel, before a shortlisting process.

Each company on the shortlist will then be invited to present to the judges why they should win an award, with the winners revealed at a high-profile awards evening at The Macdonald Burlington on February 22, 2024.

There are 15 categories to enter the West Midlands Business of the Year Awards 2024. As with previous years, the Ambassador award will be chosen by the judges.
