Construction data company moves in to Coventry

The Building Cost Information Service (BCIS), a valuation platform for construction, has launched new premises at FigFlex Coventry.

After leasing a meeting room at the flexible serviced offices, BCIS has taken up occupancy at FigFlex Coventry to house its newly established sales and development teams.

FigFlex Coventry, based at Friars House, offers 11 floors of flexible working space, from private meeting rooms to coworking areas and individual workstations.

Formerly the commercial arm of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), BCIS became an independent company in 2022. With established offices in Harrogate and London, BCIS is expanding with new premises in the Midlands to better serve the national construction data market.

Richard MacLean, chief markets officer at BCIS, said: “After viewing different office facilities in the West Midlands, it was clear that FigFlex offered much more than a standard office. We will make great use of the flexible spaces and the proximity to the train station will allow our teams to easily move between our offices in London and Harrogate, enabling us to stay connected. I look forward to our future at FigFlex Coventry as we continue to grow and expand our offering.”

Charlie Cudworth, managing director of FigFlex, added: “In today’s market, businesses have to be adaptable in order to succeed. FigFlex is specifically designed to enable businesses like BCIS to thrive; our flexible contracts and office layouts allow businesses to tailor their facilities in line with their strategy and adjust with growth. We are seeing a number of local, regional and national businesses taking advantage of the opportunities FigFlex provides. I wish BCIS all the best for their future at FigFlex Coventry.”
