Black Country shopping centre placed on the market for nearly £3.3m

Gillity Shopping Village

Commercial property agents Bond Wolfe are currently marketing an entire shopping centre in Walsall, known as Gillity Shopping Village, with space for potential development.

The combined asking price for the property, situated on 1.76 acres on Liskeard Road, is £3.265m.

The existing configuration comprises 13 retail units and 15 residential units.

James Mattin, managing director of Bond Wolfe, said that the retail units and residential properties were already generating annual rents amounting to £256,260, with the prospect of a substantial increase.

He said: “We are delighted to bring Gillity Shopping Village to the market and will be offering the properties for sale on an individual basis. We believe this will appeal to the private investor market from which we have seen so much activity throughout 2023.

“The Gillity Shopping Village is anchored by a Co-op convenience store and this means the resulting footfall has attracted multiple other traders. Existing businesses include dry cleaners, a cafe, a restaurant, funeral directors, a beauty salon and other retail units, and together this creates a thriving little centre. But on top of this, there is a future development potential in spare spaces currently occupied by the car park and garages, subject to planning permission.”
