Supply chain specialist awarded B Corp certification

Oakland International has been awarded B Corp certification after meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

The firm services retail, wholesale, discount and convenience markets through its UK and Ireland multi temperature-based facilities.

With depots located in Redditch (HQ), Corby, Bardon and Dublin, Oakland works with consumer goods manufacturers and retail brands into all major destinations including Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Tesco Dublin, Musgrave Ireland, Dunnes Stores and all UK retailers SPAR, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Nisa and Boots.

Oakland International’s Co-Founder Dean Attwell said: “We are delighted to have attained B Corp Certification as this accreditation provides an externally verified standard for several areas not considered by traditional certifications such as corporate responsibility, being a good employer/neighbour, our commitment to social improvement and green credentials, and acknowledgement of our sustainable practices.
