Green light for over 120,000 sq ft of industrial space

Greenlight Redditch

Greenlight Redditch, a joint venture between Coltham and Delancey client funds, has received planning permission to redevelop an existing manufacturing complex in Redditch, Worcestershire.

The redevelopment involves partially demolishing existing buildings and constructing four new units totalling 126,715 sq ft.

These units aim for BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A+ ratings, incorporating features like photovoltaic panels, EV charging infrastructure, rainwater harvesting, and air source heat pumps to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.

In addition to sustainability features, the units will offer Category A office space, cycle parking, and balconies for employees.

The logistics platform has already secured a pre-let to existing occupier Honeywell for a refurbished and extended 66,000 sq ft facility.

Mark Enderby, director of development at Delancey, said:We are thrilled to secure Honeywell – a firm which is dedicated to driving technological transformation for a sustainable future – to Greenlight Redditch. We look forward to working with Honeywell and we are already in talks with other companies on the scheme which are looking for the highly sustainable mid-box industrial accommodation in the area.”

Simon Pursey, partner at Coltham, said: “Greenlight is leading the way in developing outstanding, mid-box assets with first class ESG credentials, and we’re delighted that Honeywell has recognised this and is to be part of Greenlight Redditch. We look forward to developing the wider Redditch site and welcoming more exciting businesses.”
