Car distributor opens near 500,000 sq ft warehouse

GSF Car Parts, a UK car parts distributor, is opening a new National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Wolverhampton.

The centre has nearly 500,000 sq ft of warehouse space, which can be expanded to 750,000 sq ft with a mezzanine floor.

It features office space, logistics capabilities, and about 700 parking spaces for cars and HGVs.

This opening comes as GSF Car Parts continues to expand, now operating over 185 branches with 3,000 employees across the country.

Centralising distribution is expected to streamline logistics, improve service levels and will facilitate efficient sourcing from the global supply chain.

Dominus, a UK real estate developer and investor, helped secure the NDC, providing support throughout the search, selection, and negotiation processes.

Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts said: “This business has needed a National Distribution Centre for a very long time but for one reason or another, it was never quite able to make that leap. When the opportunity arose to acquire this superb facility, in a perfect central location, we jumped at it immediately.
