Software provider secures private equity backing to expand into US
Private equity firm NorthEdge has invested in a Telford-based EdTech software provider to help the company expand into the US.
PebblePad is a learning journey platform that supports student-centred learning in higher education institutions across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US.
It is used by over 130 universities worldwide, including 30 of the top-ranked global universities.
Founded in 2004 by former university lecturer Shane Sutherland, the platform combines ePortfolios, workbooks and assessments, giving students a complete view of their learning journey from pre-arrival to alumni.
NorthEdge is supporting Sutherland and his leadership team in its growth plan that aims to increase PebblePad’s presence in the UK and the US while continuing to improve its product offerings for higher education institutions and students globally.
Andrew Galloway has recently joined as chief financial officer, bringing experience from private equity-backed companies.
